Pacific Links Korea (PLK), a global premium golf life platform, announced that it held a ‘TEAM PLK’ departure ceremony at Chosun Palace in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 28th.
In January, Pacific Rings Korea launched a golf team consisting of 10 KLPGA players to support players on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGA Tour).
The TEAM PLK golf team was led by KLPGA advisor Kang Chun-cha, who served as the president of the KLPGA.
At the event, Pacific Rings Korea CEO Jang Ok-young, KLPGA Advisor Kang Choon-ja, players, their families, representatives of partner companies, and golf industry representatives celebrated the first step of TEAM PLK.
After the team’s first performance and bouquets were presented to mark the start of TEAM PLK, team leader Kim Ji-hyun expressed her determination and ambitions for the upcoming season on behalf of the golf team.
Starting this season, 10 players will wear the Pacific Rings Korea logo on their caps, including five professionals from the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGA Tour) – Kim Ji-hyun (33), Lee Seung-yeon (27), Hwang Yena (32), Kim Se-eun (27) and Hwang Yuna (22) – two from the Dream Tour – In Ju-yeon (28) and Kim Soo-min 2 (27) – and three from the Jump Tour – Seo Jae-yeon (24), Yoo Da-gyeom (23) and Xue Zhihui (19).
Leading the squad is professional Kim Ji-hyun, a 15-year veteran who made his debut in 2010.
After dominating the 2024 seedings to earn a full seed this season, he is ready to soar once again, starting with the Doosan E&C Weave Championships in April.
Seung-yeon Lee is a professional who finished runner-up in the KLPGA last year and has one career win. She boasts an explosive distance despite her petite frame.
Yena Hwang is in her third year on the regular tour and is a 2021 Dream Tour winner. Hwang, who will be playing professionally for the first time this year, is a rookie who finished ninth in the KLPGA 2024 Regular Tour Seeding Rankings. Kim Sae-eun finished fourth on the Dream Tour last year with two runner-up finishes.
In Joo-yeon In has one win in her KLPGA career. This year, she will be playing on the Dream Tour.
Kim Soo-min has one runner-up finish on the KLPGA Dream Tour.
In addition to Seo Jae-yeon, who is active in the media, Yoo Da-gyeom and Xue Zhihui, who play on the JUMP Tour and IQT Overseas Tour, have joined the organization since its inauguration in January.
