The Seoul Metropolitan Government, Hwacheon KSPO, and Incheon Hyundai Steel have established an early lead in the Women’s Unemployment Soccer WK League after going unbeaten in their opening three matches.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government drew 1-1 with Suwon FC in a home match in the third round of the Develon WK League 2024 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium Auxiliary Stadium today (May 25).
After defeating Changnyeong WFC in the first leg of the season and beating Mungyeong Sangmu 3-0 in the second leg, Seoul City maintained their three-match unbeaten streak, 텍사스홀덤 albeit with their winning streak halted.
With KSPO (4 goals scored), who drew 0-0 with Gyeongju Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power on the same day to even their record at two wins and one draw, and Seoul Metropolitan Government (6 goals scored) with 7 points and a goal differential of +4, led the way on goal difference.
On a day that saw the retirement of veteran international striker Park Eun-sun, who ended her career with Seoul City Hall last season, Seoul City Hall took the lead in the 18th minute through Kim Mi-yeon’s header, but Suwon FC equalized in the 34th minute through Kang Chae-rim.
With two draws and one loss, Suwon FC sits in sixth place with two points.
Hyundai Steel, looking for their 12th consecutive win, defeated Sejong SportsToto 2-1 to move up to third place (7 points, +2 goal difference) after a 2-2 opening day draw with Gyeongju Hansuwon.
Lee So-hee converted Jang Chang’s pass in the 45th minute with the score tied 1-1.
Sporting KC dropped to seventh place (1 D, 2 L) with no points from their opening three matches.
Changnyeong WFC defeated Sangmu 1-0 thanks to Song Ji-yoon’s first-half goal in the 30th minute to record their first win after two straight losses to open the season.
Changnyeong climbed to fifth place (3 points), while Sangmu, who lost their opening three games in a row, dropped to the bottom of the table in eighth place (0 points).
