SEOUL (Yonhap) By Kim Dong-chan = The 2023 Woori Bank Park Shinjah Cup International Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held from Aug. 26 to Sept. 3 at Cheongju Gymnasium in North Chung cheong Province. The Korea Women’s Basketball League (WKBL) announced on Aug. 31 that it has invited four teams from Japan, Australia and the Philippines to participate in this year’s tournament, bringing the total number of foreign teams to 10 from four countries, the most since the tournament’s inception in 2015.Competing against the six WKBL clubs will be four foreign teams: Eneos, which has won the Japanese W-League title for 11 토토사이트 consecutive years, last season’s runner-up Toyota, Australian WNBL team Bendigo, and the Philippine national team. The tournament was held under the name “Park Shin-ja Cup Summer League” until last year as a stage for prospects to be discovered, but this year it will be renamed “Park Shin-ja Cup” and will be held as an international tournament where even first-team players will participate. Ten teams will be divided into two groups for the preliminary round, and the top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
